Help Desk Personnel (Spokane, WA)
Conduct first tier isolation of problems to particular components, make on-the-spot substitutions of failed items with in-stock spares, and arrange further fault isolation and repair or replacement of failed equipment with outside vendors. Maintain technical support contracts with specialized system vendors as needed (e.g., Avaya), and work with outside technical support vendors to resolve system problems, plan for future expansion, etc. Escort outside technical personnel that are performing maintenance, installation, and updates of telephone systems or network cabling on site. Document the system configuration and wiring layout, including incoming trunk lines.
Tier III Technical Support (DC, Metro)
Provide technical expertise in fault identification, technical problem referral, vendor patch and upgrade release, Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) patch and mitigation release, design changes and revisions, and/or documentation of up to three (3) enclaves connecting via the use of an operational system located in the Outside Continental United States (OCONUS). Provide Tier III operational support tto resolve the operational issues that cannot be resolved through the Tier I and II actions at the local sites.
Senior Network Administrators (DC, Metro)
Maintain the overall integrity, security, and availability of a DoD network infrastructures and resources that provide network services for highly secured Department of Defense (DOD) community users. This includes configuring, maintaining, supporting and optimizing all network hardware, software and communication links. The selected candidate is expected to be highly proficient in OSI Layer troubleshooting, utilizing software and hardware tools to identify and diagnoses complex problems and factors affecting network performance, demonstrating a proven ability to engineer routers, switches, Firewalls, VPNs, and encryption devices. Design, build, test, and implement network systems, including Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and development environments. Work in close proximity with Security, Windows/Linux, and SANS Storage Administrators, and as such are often tasked with supporting the installation and troubleshooting of network systems components. Network Administrators will utilize Microsoft Visio to maintain and upgrade the current networking and system charts as well as prepare new network and systems designs as needed.
Information Assurance Analysts/Engineers (DC, Metro)
Utilize experiences and skills in network, systems, security, and video to provide IA support/C&A support for our government customers. Document SSP, COOP/DRP, network diagrams, security test plans, CONOPs, backup/recovery procedures, SOPs, and TTPs to support the project. Evaluate latest video technology and video/audio conferencing technologies, network security, and system security technologies in lab environment. Familiar with firewalls, network design, security tools, and server technologies. Familiar with information assurance policies and procedures to include DoD 8500 and DISA STIG guidelines. Familiar with Vulnerability Management Systems (VMS) and ST&E process. Familiar with DIACAP Process and C&A process for getting ATO and/or ATC. Familiar with DIACAP tools, eMASS or similar, Scorecard, POAMs, etc. Familiar with HBSS, DISA Gold Disk, SCAP tool/benchmarks, Retina Scanner, and ACAS (Nessus) tools.
Video Teleconference / Unified Communications Engineers (DC, Metro)
Design and architect an Video over IP network in enterprise/service provider level environment. Utilize experiences and skills for network, security, and video engineering to provide subject matter expertise input and feedback to government customers. Devise and document system designs, network design, test plans, CONOPs, procedures, SOPs, and TTPs for new projects. Coordinate with customers, contractors and other DoD agencies to help support project implementation and planning. Test and evaluate latest video technology and video/audio conferencing technologies in lab environment. Familiar with ISDN, IP, and serial VTC capabilities and other transport methods. Familiar with Crypto devices (KIVs, KGs, etc.) for classified networks. Familiar with unified communications, unified collaboration, and prior experiences will be preferred. Familiar with DoD experience and JITC UC APL testing. Work with other VTC engineers in testing, designing, planning, implementing, and supporting other DoD agencies. Familiar with video/audio standards and protocols.
TELECOMMUNICATIONS SUBJECT MATTER EXPERT (DC, Metro)
Perform network and systems integration, network security, reliability and business continuity, prototyping and deployment of network solutions, network interoperability, network testing, network implementation, telecommunications and data communications technologies, or network protocols. Provide strategic business consultation including organizational alignment, business process development and business case development. Perform technical lead management responsibilities for a specific technology area associated with network architectures, i.e. network-architecture technology, interoperability and integration. Provide 1) lead specialty engineering and in-depth analyses on network interoperability, topologies, technologies, interfaces, and protocols; 2) leadership in defining and pursuing telecommunications related network technology research and development projects of significant complexity, requiring considerable originality and ingenuity. Initiates and carries out independent work on specific tasks associated with the implementation of specific aspects of network technology projects. Manages the implementation of specific aspects of network architecture planning.
